Based in Sweden, “Virtues”, a Buddhist educational illustration art newspaper, is created by Indrajith Wewalage. Conceived as the world’s first Buddhist Jātaka comic newspaper, it retells the timeless stories of the Buddha’s previous lives through original illustrated art, published in Sinhala, Swedish and English.

Indrajith Wewalage is a creative artist devoted to bringing the wisdom of the Jātaka tales to a worldwide audience. His work bridges ancient tradition and modern visual storytelling, making profound moral teachings accessible to readers of every age and culture.

He is also recognized as the first artist in European art history to complete the full interior painting of an entire Buddhist temple.
